Employability

Aberdeen Foyer's Employability service is available to guide people through all stages of the employability pipeline - from thinking about possible careers to progressing into employment and in-work support. Our Employability team have a deep understanding and compassion for each person’s situation and provide personalised, strengths-based support. We work with individuals to set realistic, achievable goals based on their interests in employment. We have established an extensive network of employers across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire in a range of sectors, spanning private, public and third sector and we can arrange work experience and support with applications for live vacancies. Our employer partners are in support of offering people up to date experience in sector specific work environments.

  • In-work support to increase opportunities for progression

  • Reviewing and improving transferable skills

  • Working to achieve confidence building

  • Support with health and wellbeing

  • Reviewing financial concerns and offering financial advise

  • Digital skills

We can also provide PPE before starting work, cover bus fares to appointments and provide digital kit where possible.

We work with our clients 1:1 and in group sessions, in a friendly and welcoming environment.
