If you want to understand your spending and manage your finances, we can help you.
Taking care of your finances can feel like an overwhelming task. Navigating a sudden change in circumstance can be stressful.
On many of our training courses you have the opportunity to learn different life skills, including money management. If you’re looking for support with your finances, our Managing Money Team can help. They can help you budget, apply for Universal Credit and even negotiate payment plans for your debt. They offer phone appointments in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

The Financial inclusion team can offer you assistance with applying for benefits and planning your finances.
What is it?
The Managing Money team provide free, confidential, and impartial money and budgeting advice.When is it?
When required, over the phone or online, often by a referral from another service.What will I gain from it?
You will be supported to gain control of your finances and to improve your financial situation.Who can apply?
Anyone in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire who are aged 16 and over.Where is it?

Housing Support in Aberdeenshire
This service can help you manage your current tenancy or alternatively explore your other housing options.
What is it?
Housing Support Service helps young people who may have experienced homelessness, are at risk of homelessness or who might need support to manage their tenancy in Aberdeenshire.When is it?
Ongoing support after you are referred to our service, usually once per week until you have learned desired skills.What will I gain from it?
Skills to manage your tenancy including increased confidence, budgeting, setting up energy and gas providers as well as assist you in finding resources and opportunities in your own community.Who can apply?
Anyone living in Aberdeenshire aged 16 to 21 (up to 25 if you care experienced). You can email hosupport@aberdeenshire.gov.uk or call 01467 538125 or be referred by your Housing Officer, Social Worker or any other person who may be working with you. -
Foyer Families Programme
Foyer Families Programme includes budgeting skills, cooking on a budget and making the most of your money.
What is it?
A 16-week learning and employability programme.When is it?
Tues-Thurs 9.30am - 2.30pmWhat will I gain from it?
You’ll obtain nationally recognised qualifications, while learning how to further support your child’s learning and play. You’ll develop personal confidence and have a fun and meaningful team experience, while planning the next steps in your future.Who can apply?
Parents and carers in Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen, who have at least one child under 12.Where is it?
Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire with an online course also available. (Online course admissions require certain criteria, please contact us to discuss)How to apply

Foyer’s Employability Team will support in assessing your current financial situation while exploring your employment goals.
What is it?
1-to-1 Employability support: CV writing, interview skills and training courses to gain employment in a broad choice of sectors.When is it?
We are actively taking on new clients and courses take place all year round.What will I gain from it?
Improving your confidence and self-belief, gain accredited qualifications, certificates and sector based skills.CV writing, job search and interview skills.
Support as you progress into employment.
