Team Foyer

Why work for the Foyer?

Our vision is for people to thrive, feel connected and included in their community, where everyone has a safe, decent place to call home and access to resources to live a good life. We provide a variety of integrated programmes and services which combine to provide wraparound support for young people and adults around 6 key areas:

  • Youth Housing, Foyer Futures, Learning, Employability, FitMind and Community.

We believe there is no limit to what people can achieve in their lives. And with around 100 employees and 45 volunteers, our people are our greatest assets. That’s why we do everything we can to create a supportive and positive working environment that everyone feels part of and wants to nurture.

We offer an agile working environment and work to ensure that all staff feel supported and have the opportunity to learn and grow in any role they take on. In return for your passion and commitment, we offer a dynamic workplace which supports your ongoing learning and development.

We value curiosity and all posts have access to structured induction and ongoing training and learning opportunities that can support continuous professional development and digital skills. Where appropriate mentoring, peer support network and coaching may also be available.

Working with us offers an exciting, innovative environment where no two days are the same, a place where your hard work and effort is recognised, and where you can actively contribute to making a positive difference to people’s lives.

Benefits

At the Foyer we are very proud to be both a Living Wage and a Disability Confident accredited employer. We value employee wellbeing and are proud to offer:

  • Generous holidays: we offer 20 days annual leave plus 12 public holidays rising to a cumulative 37 days with continued service.

  • A contributory company pension scheme.

  • A comprehensive and confidential employee assistance programme (including access to free counselling), open to employees and their family.

  • A cycle to work scheme

  • A monthly wellbeing hour

  • Flexible working practices

We understand the importance of a positive work-life balance and being flexible.  Blended working is the norm for many of our staff (as roles allow), with flexible working policies to allow you to work in the way that best suits you. Many of our staff enjoy the freedom of choosing a working pattern that suits them, as much as it suits us. In our latest employee engagement survey 98% of staff valued our flexibility.
