Youth and Philanthropy Initiative - YPI

Aberdeen Foyer’s overarching mission is to end youth homelessness in North East Scotland. The organisation consists of a wide variety of teams supporting people and addressing many different societal issues. When you choose Aberdeen Foyer, you have the chance to advocate for us and donate £3,000, which will help us deliver our services, bringing young people and adults closer to employment, supporting them grow their confidence and working with them to make them feel part of their community. Your help will mean also more people will learn about Aberdeen Foyer and the work we do.

So what is Aberdeen Foyer and what do they do?

Aberdeen Foyer is a charity working in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. Our mission for the past 29 years has been preventing young people from experiencing homelessness. This is done by providing counselling, learning programmes such as King’s Trust, Employability support - like help with writing CVs, 1-to-1 support for young people who are struggling to stay at school and also providing housing for young people and working with them so that they have the life skills to find employment and manage their own household when they are ready to move on. So the social issues Aberdeen Foyer’s work addresses include homelessness, unemployment, poverty and mental health.
